Surprisingly amusing

Perhaps I’m supposing that the commas-as-ellipsis is the attempt of a frustrated fellow punctuation-ophile who wants to right the wrongs of missing commas all over the world, but for some reason, this one brings me joy.

P.S. Extra points: is there a word for “punctuation-ophile”? A quick google doesn’t turn one up.

At first I was going to suggest “orthophile”, but that would technically mean “correctness-lover” which is awesome but not what we are looking for. Apparently in Great Britain punctuation used to be referred to as “pointing”, so I guess I’d suggest “pointophile”, but that’s weird.

Punctophile sounds like you really love being on time. I know, Bobby, that this is not true. I can’t find anything better, though, so I suppose punctophile shall stand a while longer.

I’m sad that they don’t acknowledge the interrobang.
